NYC in 48 hours!

NEW YORK CITY in 48 hours!   I wanted to post this because we're putting the link out there and people are tuning in and thinking we're in Ocracoke.  :)

We have big plans for the Big Apple... 9 days and hundreds of things to see.   It's my 3rd or 4th trip there, Dana has been once for a couple of days, but the Brittanys and Becki are NYC virgins so it will be a mix of traditional tourist stuff that everyone must do, and some really cool stuff that may be off the beaten path.   We're renting an apartment instead of staying in a hotel, and it's just a block from Time Square.  The part that BMc is most excited about is that the building as a doorman.  :)

We already have tickets to see "Tribes" its a show about a family with a Deaf son - stars Mare Whittingham and Russell Harvard - the theatre is super small and in the round.  Can't wait!   We have tickets to see a taping of the Daily Show, but they overbook, so we'll see if we get in...  other shows we plan on trying to see are Harvey with Jim Parsons (just opened this week), Potted Potter (parody of Harry Potter), and Peter and the Starcatchers (the origin story of Peter Pan - I just bought the book)..

Traditional stuff - we have tickets for the Empire State Building, NBC Studio Tour, and the World Trade Center Memorial.    We want to make a trip to Coney Island and to get crumb cake from the Cake Boss.   We'll try to get in to see Oliver Platt in Shakespeare in the Park... take the Ferry over to Staten Island... so many things on our list, we'll see how much we can get done.

  2. Sounds great! It also sounds as though you will need a vacation from this vacation when you return home.
